EgoCure / VR film

“A choreographer is struggling to create a contemporary masterpiece, which sends her down a spiral confronting her own demons.”

The movie is set in a world where the commodification of art has come to its technological conclusion: if an artist is unable or unwilling to provide a commissioned art piece, the investor has the right to extract it from their unconscious mind – using the EgoCure device.

Ego Cure is an important pilot project for Virtual Cinema Lab. The film is part of a research project to study conventions of virtual reality filmmaking, and creating tools for shooting high quality cinematic VR. The film makes first steps with enactive cinema, exploring interactivity that supports the story.
