Welcome to the XR Encounter Eco-VR, in which we explore the potential of VR as a tool for environmental education!

The United Nations stated that education should play an essential role in response to climate change already in 1992. Can VR make us care more about climate change?
 
We want to discuss the strengths of and best strategies for using VR to raise awareness about climate change and its consequences. What kind of environmentally-focused VR would you like to experience? We have started THIS LIST of VR experiences that tackle environmental issues. You are welcome to extend by adding other relevant titles.

Please choose and acquaint yourself with one or several titles from the list, and we will then discuss our experiences and ideas. Members of Kudelma will also be joining the discussion. Kudelma is a group of researchers and students in the biological and environmental sciences at the University of Helsinki.
