Public speaking

I have organized and contributed to courses at the University of Helsinki on digital media and society, representation of difficult pasts, and populism and emotions. I am also passionate about promoting interdisciplinarity and am a Board Member of FINTERDIS – The Finnish Interdisciplinary Society.

Researcher

I am a postdoc at Aalto ARTS, Dept. of Media. My current project examines the dynamics of engagement/detachment in VR history education. I explore what new forms of historical knowledge and consciousness VR experiences produce and what effects they hold for pupils’ understanding of difficult pasts..
